The Criminal Investigations division is a significant and integral part of the Department's efforts to efficiently and effectively conduct investigations into criminal offenses occurring in the community.

It is the function of the Department Investigations Section to complete preliminary and follow-up investigations of crimes committed within the jurisdiction of the City of Kinston. Personnel assigned to the Investigations Section may include uniformed and non-uniformed police officers.
