Scott Jackson

Roles & History

 
Sgt. Jackson began his career with the Kinston Police Department in December of 1992 as a Patrol Officer. Sgt. Jackson has worked in various divisions throughout his tenure with the Kinston Police Department.  Sgt. Jackson currently supervises the Office of Professional Standards.  
 
During his tenure with the Kinston Police Department, Sgt. Jackson has fulfilled the following assignments and roles:

  • Patrol Division
  • Field Training Officer
  • Traffic Division: as a Motorcycle Officer and Traffic Accident Re-constructionist
  • SWAT Member - Sniper
  • Training Coordinator
  • Office of Professional Standards Division: CVSA Operator
  • Department Armorer
  • Certified Firearms Instructor and Rapid Deployment Instructor 

Education

 
Sgt. Jackson is a graduate of Lenoir Community College and holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice.  Sgt. Jackson has also been awarded the Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the North Carolina Department of Justice, Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
